Salaam to all the faithful slaves of Allah

Many have written in to find out who we are & who we represent. Others ask what organisation we are etc. This mail is to inform everyone on our mailing list as to who we are & what we do.

1. Samuslims.co.za is not an organisation. We are also not affiliated to any organisations.

2. We are a few individuals who after seeing the plight of the ummat, felt that the best way to empower the ummat is to inform & educate.

3. With this in mind we registered a domain so that we could have a proper mailing list & to receive central information from individuals & organisations & to then spread it out. We all do our bit to make sure that this service functions properly.

4. We have received a lot of encouragement mail, and our initial subscriber base of 30 has grown into thousands. Largely due to those on the list sending us emails of friends and family, and this process continued and the list built up & is building up by the fadl of Allah day by day.

5. We have also noted that some people think that we represent some organisations. We do not! We do however send out emails that come from organisations as well.

6. We receive mail regularly from "the desk of Mustaq Ahmad", information clearing house(alternate media), Mujlisul Ulama and Ulama from KZN,Mufti Elias, and from Jamiatul Ulama KZN. These are given preference for emailing over our second source. All mail is checked to see if it is beneficial, and if factual if there is basis & proof.

7. Or second source is from you, the ummat, with the same conditions as above.

8. Our third source is from official ulama council’s websites from South Africa & international websites that is sent by one of the administrators of samuslims.co.za. The same conditions apply.

9. We would like to think that we are all a part of this project so we do not sign off-note: we have now started signing off due to request from subscribers!. We are not an organisation, but an information gateway so all queries should be directed to the relevant sender. This is a gateway from the ummat, to the ummat & for the ummat which is the best organisation in the world (ummat of Nabi e Akram Salalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) & we are all members by the fadl of Allah.

10. Regarding current issues that are splitting the ummat, we are human & also hold an opinion. We hope that everyone can respect that.

11. If you would like queries to be sent via samuslims.co.za to any sender we will gladly send it for you, but please do not take up issue with us. It is unfair to shoot the proverbial messenger.

12. We would also like you to feel free to give us suggestions on how we can improve our idea/project. All input is important. Jazakallah to those who have given input and for those who have given us kind words. We have been sending out more emails then planned recently-this is due to the amount of information we are receiving and the number of messages that need to be put out.

13. Lastly, this project is paid for & taken care of by the administrators, mostly businessmen or computer technicians (some are not Muslims-we also have non Muslim members on our list). However we do have one request-we request the duas of the ummat.
