samuslims.co.za has confirmed that the carrion certifiers at sanha have certified the Steers
 mentioned below & also that is owned by a person who is not a muslim as stated below.

Sanha is in breach of THEIR OWN "FATWA" of not certifying non muslim owned outlets
as they agree that it is haraam to eat at these outlets.
this was told to samuslims.co.za administrators before samuslims.co.za was formed.

Sanha has recently certfied the Steers located at Umgeni business park
as halaal. The store is owned by a non-muslim who also owns other
steers outlets that are haraam.

On enquiry of Sanha as to why they have gone against their policy of
only certifying muslim outlets, the following response was received:
"Sanha does not certify non-muslim owned outlets, however in the case
of the steers at umgeni business park we received numerous requests
from muslims working in the area for a halaal food outlet."

The above response is quiet suprising from sanha as within 100 metres
of the steers are a halaal Jolly Grubber, Debonairs and Wrap it Up.

It has been learnt through relaible sources that initially Sanha had
refused to certify the steers outlet. The non-muslim owner had
threatened Sanha with legal action and thus Sanha succumbed to the
pressure.
